Seventh District Taekwon-Do
Taekwon-Do is a Korean Martial Art
Taekwon-Do emphasizes coordinated hand and foot movements and strong kicks. Taekwon-do improves strength, flexibility, coordination, discipline and self-confidence. It is a full-contact martial art. Taekwon-Do is suitable for adults and children and is a great program for family members to take together.
The Seventh District Recreational Council's Taekwon-Do program includes about 25 students, ranging in age from 8 to 50+. Lessons are taught in 3-month segments and the program runs year round. At the end of every 3-month segment, students may be tested to advance to the next higher belt level. Tests are administered in January, April, July, and October. Registration for each 3-month segment costs about $75 per student. Testing fees are additional.
The Taekwon-Do program is run by calendar quarters. New students will be accepted in January, 2015; April, 2015; and October, 2015. The youngest age student that can be accepted is age 8. Parents are encouraged to join Taekwon-Do with their children.
Please contact Wendy Hallameyer or Tammy Koutsoukos for information about the next registration.
